Methodology & Editorial Independence
The credibility of the project depends on separating evidence, verification and editorial judgment from commercial participation.
Research. Cross-reference. Verify.
Vital Services Research uses multiple sources and research layers to develop each company profile and the relationship map connecting companies across the Israeli innovation ecosystem.
Company research
Profiles are built from company websites, filings, institutional records, acquisition announcements, government information, established databases, published research and other credible sources.
Relationship research
We examine founders, alumni, predecessor companies, acquisitions, spinouts, university origins, research institutions and military programs when evidence supports a connection.
Source confidence
Primary and authoritative sources are preferred. Ambiguous claims are qualified rather than presented as certain. Military-unit affiliations are recorded only when evidence supports the specific unit.
Company fact-check opportunity
Before publication, selected organizations are offered an opportunity to review objective factual information and submit documented corrections for independent review.
Publication and updates
Companies are asked to respond within 10 days. Because the project is proceeding on a publication schedule, material may be finalized or published before a response is received. Supported corrections received later may be incorporated into the online database and subsequent publication editions.
What companies may correct
- Founding year and founders
- Leadership and ownership/status
- Acquisition chronology
- Technology descriptions
- Objective historical facts
- Supporting documentation
What companies do not control
- Top 100 inclusion or removal
- Editorial conclusions
- Scoring or comparative judgment
- Independent sourcing
- Future commercial or media coverage
Evidence first.
Vital Services Research gives priority to sources that can directly support objective company and historical facts. When primary evidence is unavailable, corroborated secondary sources may be used with appropriate qualification.
Primary Sources
Company websites, official press releases, SEC and public filings, investor materials, acquisition announcements and corporate governance records.
Institutional Sources
Universities, research institutions, government agencies, military or public records where available, and recognized innovation databases.
Corroborated Reporting
Established publications and credible secondary sources are used to add context or resolve historical gaps, with ambiguous claims kept qualified rather than overstated.
